The Malata VDR-R1 SVCD Recorder allows you to record Audio / Video onto a CD-R or CD-RW disc in real time without a Personal Computer hookup.

Selectable recording format--VCD (250 lines), SVCD (350 lines) or CD format
Supports Real-time mpeg encoding ( plus approx 1 to 2 minutes to finalize disc when complete)
Before finalizing disc you can record multiple sessions

Three playback modes (PBC, NORMAL and PROGRAM) and Resume playback.

Time search playback (DISC, TRACK).

Four speed fast forward/backward playback.

Repeating playback (FULL DISC, SINGLE TRACK, PASSAGE).

Double microphone input (volume adjustable).

Recording time

74min in VCD and CDDA (compact disk) format and 35min in SVCD format (on 650MB CD-R/RW discs).

Please Note :
For VCD playback, you must have a cdr/cdrw and VCD compatible dvd player.
For SVCD Playback, DVD player must be SVCD compatible. Most DVD players will only play VCD but will not play the SVCD discs.
VCD will playback on any computer using windows media player.
For SVCD playback on a computer, you will require a DVD playback program such as PowerDVD.
Also Note that SVCD playback is a bit sensitive to quality of CDR/CDRW.
Does not require a Audio type CDR, but does require good quality.
We recommend 8 X discs or higher.
